Many customers need to move several load carriers and want them moved from station A to station B as quickly as possible. Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) create what are called safety fields in the travel direction to ensure safe transport and to prevent endangering personnel in the immediate vicinity. If the AMR needs to move different types of load carrier, it usually employs a larger safety field, since it can’t distinguish between two different LCs. This forces the AMR to travel much longer distances than necessary, resulting in significantly longer cycle times for entire swarms of AMRs. Our product OCF improves this problem in a safe way.
